- Previous employment as a marine engineer is preferred but is not essential
- Tasks on board will involve the repair and maintenance of a variety of equipment and machinery under the supervision and assistance from the First and Second Engineers
- The candidate should be keen to learn new tasks and skills
- This is an exciting opportunity to work with an energetic crew of 12 who take great pride in their work and keep the ship in pristine condition
- Note that the vessel remains in Singapore waters and returns to its berth every evening. Candidate will be provided with basic crew accommodation on board
- Performs engine room watch with the Engineers and will become familiar with small diesel engines from 100hp to 500hp.
- Assists the Engineers in the management and maintenance of the engine room and its machinery and other equipment on board the ship.
- Familiarises himself with the handling of various machinery and equipment as well as the maintenance of tanks, pumps, pipes, valves, compressors, small motors etc.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools under their care are in good running condition.
- Cleans and maintains the Engine Room.
