
AV Technical and Documentation Specialist

- Develop detailed, user-friendly knowledge base articles on AV concepts, products, and integrations, including both basic and advanced topics (e.g., “What is a DSP?” and “AV over IP basics”).
- Produce configuration and setup guides for key AV brands such as Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, and Shure.
- Create technical diagrams, including single-line diagrams, signal flow charts, and rack layouts, while maintaining standardized templates.
- Establish and maintain style guides; organize knowledge base content by categories like concepts, product guides, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and pre-sales staff to capture technical details; conduct interviews and site visits as needed.
- Manage and update articles in platforms such as Confluence, SharePoint, or Zendesk to keep documentation current.
- 3+ years in technical writing, documentation, or AV engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems (DSPs, control systems, AV over IP).
- Proficiency in diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, or Lucidchart.
- Excellent English communication skills and strong organizational ability.
- Experience with Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, Extron, AMX, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with knowledge base platforms (Confluence, SharePoint, Zendesk Guide).
- Background in AV integration, support, or pre-sales.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong skills in creating technical diagrams and visuals.
- Knowledge of AV installation, configuration, and troubleshooting best practices.
