Job Description Summary You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, analysis of heat treatment furnaces, computer systems, and calibration (not controlled by QA) of plant equipment and facilities. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.Role Overview:Diagnose, troubleshooting, Servicing, repair and of maintenance of furnaces and plant equipment, instruments, microprocessor and measuring facilitiesMaintenance of Heaters, Insulation, Sensors, Control Panel, Vacuum Pumps, Cooling Towers, Water Systems etc.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, fabrication and calibration (not controlled by QA) of plant equipment and support facilities.Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and modify plant equipment, instruments, microprocessor and measuring facilitiesInstitute judgment to improvise installation or diagnostic methods when original operation manuals or technical literature are not available or inapplicableEstablish and maintain calibration systems to effectively control performance of various instruments and controllersMaintain documentation where necessary of completed assignments for tractabilityEstablish stock level requirement for existing and new equipmentWork independently from prints, sketches, technical literature and other instructions.Provide hands-on training guidance to lower skilled techniciansExercise extreme caution to protect one-self and co-workers from accidents when working under hazardous conditions such as heights, enclosed compartments, live wires or devices, flammable or explosive atmosphere, suspended heavy machinery, power tools, etc.Constantly check working environment for compliance with applicable EHS requirements. Thoroughly check out completed jobs before handling over to end user to assure that the facility is electrically and mechanically safe. Ensure that appropriate PPE are used wherever necessaryAdhere to all applicable EHS rules and regulations and employee’s EHS responsibilities as per EHS OP 283.00Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasksThe Ideal Candidate:2-3 years of experience in machine maintenance and furnacesRequired Qualifications:Minimum Higher NITEC/NTC2 (electrical, electronic, mechanical or mechatronics) with 2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent; orPreferably ITC or Diploma (electrical, electronic, mechanical or mechatronics); orDiploma (electrical, electronic, mechanical or mechatronics)Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Versatile in electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineeringForklift licensePC knowledge, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and workshop skillsAdditional Information:At GE Aerospace, we are always searching for great talent.
