From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.Role Overview:Set up and operate all types of conventional or CNC machines such as electrical discharge machine, laser machine, lathe, radial grinder, reciprocal grinder, milling machine, drilling machine and specialized equipment to perform machining operation of the most complicated nature in the making of jigs, fixtures, tools, dies, gauges, test equipment and product parts, and their rework or modificationsMay follow a particular product through the machine shop using a variety of machine tools to complete the finished productUse all types of standard and special gauges, various hand toolsMaintain pertinent records; work according to technical drawings and instructionsPerform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasksThe Ideal Candidate:Minimum GCE 'O' level with relevant experience in Machining, CNC Machining.Required Qualifications:Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experience; orPreferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Precision Engineering or equivalent; orDiploma in Mechanical/Precision/Manufacturing EngineeringAble to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Good mechanical aptitude.Knowledge in CNC programmingAbility to comprehend technical drawings/instructionsAbility to use measuring instrumentsPreviously worked in a manufacturing environmentA team playerAdditional Information:
