You will be part of a team that implements strategies and programmes to develop a vibrant media industry in Singapore that comprises international media MNCs, enterprising media SMEs, industry associations and award-winning talents. In this role, you will work with showrunners, IP creators, SG film & TV industry key opinion leaders and international / SG screen agencies /partners to foster collaborations with SG media SMEs and talent. These would be through various programmes under IMDA’s mandate to grow Singapore as a media hub and for SG media talent to be internationally relevant and demanded.Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve Singapore Media Industry development goals and deliver its economic objectives
  • Formulate and execute media strategy to explore how we can use social levers to drive economic growth for local enterprises
  • Conceptualise and review collaborations or initiatives to develop SG media talents with local stakeholders or international partners
  • Proactively monitor closely the progress of ongoing projects, problem solve where required and ensure that deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Review and report on data with analysis on projects and talents for knowledge-sharing and to guide policy decisions
  • Gather research and intelligence on international competitive landscape, keep up with developments by regional screen agencies to inform shaping of strategies, and identify trends that are useful for Singapore and our media talent and companies
Requirements
  • Background in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, Business Analytics or related fields
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience preferably in the Infocomm and Media industry or public policy and administration; experience in implementing strategies/policies in media-related sectors such as with broadcasters, networks or distributors is an added advantage.
  • Strong interest in the media industry with good understanding of developments in the regional/global media landscape.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, adept at working with multiple data sets.
  • Highly adaptable with ability to translate strategic goals into tactical plans to achieve intended outcomes.
  • Result oriented, self-motivated and able to navigate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong in project management and critical analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and engage internal and external key decision makers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written non-English language and/or experience in international relations are an added advantage.
