Procurement Executive

• Industry/ Organization Type: Wholesales (Machinery, Equipment and Supplies)
• Position Title: Procurement/ Purchasing Executive (Raw Materials)
• Working Location: Joo Koon (Company Transportation Provided at Boon Lay/Pioneer)
• Working Hours: 5 days (Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + VB
• Duration: Permanent

• Negotiate for strategic partnerships on support and pricing.
• Source office/manufacturing-related raw materials and services, obtain quotations, and recommend suitable alternatives in terms of materials, grades, or composites.
• Prepare and release purchase orders (PO) to suppliers/vendors promptly.
• Work closely with the QA team to ensure incoming materials meet required specifications.
• Collaborate with the Planning team to prevent urgent shortages, ramp-ups, and costly disruptions; ensure timely vendor follow-ups for critical parts.
• Monitor and follow up on acknowledgements and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Production Departments for smooth material flow.
• Maintain and update prices in the system.
• Manage suppliers' performance (on-time delivery and quality) to ensure uninterrupted production supply.
• Optimize purchasing volume to avoid additional premium/handling costs.
• Monitor slow-moving stock to prevent obsolescence and maintain optimal inventory levels based on demand.
• Implement and track cost-saving initiatives with suppliers/vendors, including sourcing for alternative suppliers.
• Negotiate and establish reliable and cost-effective freight arrangements.
• Prepare and generate monthly reports and analyses.
• Support management with ad-hoc tasks as required.

• Diploma or higher (Certificate in Purchasing/Negotiation preferred).
• Min. 5 years' purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP/SAP; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong negotiation, purchasing, and analytical skills.
