With the aim of creating a safe and trusted online environment for Singapore, IMDA is looking for a Senior Manager/ Manager / Assistant Manager (Policy Planning) to join IMDA’s Online Communications Office, which:a) Designs, operationalises and enforces IMDA’s online content regulations relating to Online Safety and Misinformationb) Engages stakeholders within Government, and Industry to ensure effective operationalisation and compliance with online content regulations related to online safety and misinformation.Job Scope· Draft and update Codes of Practice tagged to Singapore’s online safety and misinformation legislations.· Represent IMDA in discussions with industry and other stakeholders on Codes of Practice and relevant online content regulations.· Provide Policy advice and input to facilitate operational decision-making.· Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, technologies, and challenges related to online safety.· Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on horizon scanning findings, enabling the organization to proactively address future online regulation and safety challenges.Requirements· Background in Humanities, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Mass Communications or Legal Studies.· At least 2 years of experience in a technology policy or operations related role in the private or public sectors. Job grade will be based on duration and level of relevant work experience.· Strong interest in online safety, and good knowledge of how online platforms operate, including social media services, app stores, and online video games.· Strong analytical, inter-personal and writing skills.· Experience in Public Policy, Online Content Regulation, Online Trust and Safety, Horizon Scanning, Strategic Futures work would be advantageous.
