
Communications Leader, Greater Asia

- Develop and deliver BD’s communications plans, including integrated internal and external communications in support of regional priorities and objectives.
- Lead Greater Asia internal communications plans and execution for BD Associate engagement, including campaigns, Greater Asia President communications, Greater Asia LT engagement, content development and support for internal communications initiatives and interactions that improve employee engagement and understanding of the company’s strategy and Greater Asia’s role supporting BD 2025.
- Participate in the annual strategic review process to help with storytelling, cascading key messages through the organization, as well as the design of the internal communications plan.
- Responsible for the development of communications campaigns and actions that support the strategies and purpose of BD.
- Manage internal communication strategy, such as intranet, in-person and virtual events such as town halls and employee forums, among others as needed.
- Advisor to ensure impactful, integrated and measurable communication in support of business priorities, enabling BD’s business transformation.
- Build an internal network of internal communication managers who are sitting within the hubs to engage them in support of the regional agenda and ensuring the appropriate cascade is done locally.
- Support communications for BD’s Social Responsibility/ESG initiatives, including storytelling around impact for associates and the community.
- Manage Greater Asia external communications as needed in alignment with corporate external guidelines and strategy. This could include proactive and reactive external communications campaigns, digital content, and potential engagement with regional media and others as needed by the business and agreed with corporate.
- Ensure issues preparedness and issues management for the Greater Asia region in line with corporate standards. Partner closely with Public Relations and Corporate Communications as needed for specific matters.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across the enterprise. Partner with Corporate Communications colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment in regional and corporate messages and content, as well as HR, commercial teams and other functions.
- Stay current on relevant regional, industry, economic, and governmental topics and issues that should be reflected in or referenced in communications, internal or external.
- Bachelor’s Degree required – preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant Public Relations and Communications experience, working in large Multinational Corporation. Agency experience will be preferred.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory for this role.
