b. Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance to environmental, health, fire safety and workplace safety laws, regulations, and code of practices.
This includes for a licensing framework to ensure all potential licensing issues are addressed in a timely manner which includes but not limited to:
- Proper storage & management of hazardous substances (as governed under NEA/SPF/SCDF regulations)
- Workplace safety for staff (as prescribed under MOM guidelines)
- Fire certification for buildings (as required under fire safety act)
- Other licensing & safety compliance requirements (e.g. building systems under BCA/PUB, notification to MOM under Factory License, etc)
- Assist to facilitate and coordinate EHS committees activities like meetings, trainings and workshops. EHS committees include but not limited to Fire Safety Committees, Safe Management Committees, WSH Committees, Environmental Health Committees, etc.
- Assist EHS Lead in coordinate with IHH SG facilities on general waste reduction and formulate safe hazardous waste management program and hazardous material handling including chemical spillage and disposal.
- Develop and sustain WSH system and quality assurance cycle, including training and audits for Hazards Identification (HI), Risk Assessment (RA), Incident Reporting and follow up, documentation & trend analysis, Management Review, and third party accreditation if required (e.g. BizSafe).
- Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections and conduct benchmarking.
- Assist to implement the accident/exposure reporting and investigation program related to workplace accident, near misses, dangerous occurrence or occupational diseases and report to the management to prevent recurrence.
- Work with respective facilities Fire Safety Managers to drive Fire Safety Programme, including but not limited to forming Fire Safety Committee, developing Fire Emergency Response Plan.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as directed by EHS Lead
- Bachelor’s degree from recognized education institution preferably in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferably with experiences in healthcare institutions.
