- Manage and administer Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c, and newer) in production and development environments.
- Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Design and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies (RMAN, Data Guard).
- Automate routine database tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, or Ansible.
- Apply patches, perform upgrades/migrations (on-prem and cloud), and manage version control.
- Implement and enforce database security, roles, and user access controls.
- Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Provide L3 support for escalated incidents and lead root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support application and system integration.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support weekend deployments when necessary.
- Document architecture, configurations, and procedures for audit and knowledge transfer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience with at least 3 years in a senior/L3 role.
- Expertise in Oracle, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle internals, performance diagnostics (AWR, ASH, TKPROF), and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle, or Azure Database for Oracle).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident/change/problem management.
- Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation and monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
