A strong understanding of business processes is essential, as the role requires bridging IT with business stakeholders to ensure solutions are relevant, effective, and value-driven. Working closely with business users, cross-functional teams and external vendors, the manager will deliver high-quality application services and enhancements. Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence through proactive incident management, process optimization, and the implementation of innovative solutions that improve user experience and business outcomes. This role also contributes to the strategic roadmap for application modernization and rationalization, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies. A critical aspect of this position is the ability to connect regional applications with corporate platforms, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across the enterprise. - Ensure high-quality application support services across APAC through close collaboration with AMS vendors.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and quality benchmarks.
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement in vendor service delivery.
- Lead incident resolution efforts, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
- Minimize system disruptions and ensure high availability of critical applications.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AMS processes and enhance application performance.
- Lead the implementation of functional enhancements and system upgrades aligned with business needs.
- Promote automation and standardization across application platforms.
- Track and report on application performance, incident trends, and service metrics.
- Deliver actionable insights to senior management for continuous service improvement.
- Drive the implementation of observability across applications by selecting and implementing monitoring tools, defining key metrics and KPIs, setting up real-time alerting systems, analyzing data for trends and improvements, and continuously enhancing observability practices.
- Partner with cloud, infrastructure, solution delivery, and business engagement teams to ensure cohesive integration of applications.
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-regional projects with technical leadership and coordination.
- Provide business process expertise to ensure IT applications align with operational needs and strategic goals.
- Act as a bridge between business users and IT teams, translating requirements into effective application solutions.
- Facilitate integration between regional and corporate applications to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Support business stakeholders in identifying process improvements and driving user adoption through relevant, intuitive solutions.
- Lead efforts to rationalize and standardize the application landscape across APAC.
- Identify opportunities to expand regional solutions to additional markets where appropriate.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term IT strategy.Agencies
- Degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software application development, support, and project delivery.
- Proficiency in .Net, Java, SQL, web development, and cloud-native technologies.
- Good knowledge of software development life cycle and understanding of the building blocks of the information system: application layers, infrastructure and security.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Experience in the shipping or logistics industry is a strong advantage.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma are preferred.
