- Drive procurement strategy and plans to deliver against the business objectives, whilst also delivering savings
- Lead and perform sourcing cycle for buying, driving the negotiation process and contract management.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve the most competitive pricing and strengthen Company's positions by securing values beyond pricing.
- Drive continuous improvement across the department, creating, streamlining and implementing best practice within the department.
- Understand the needs of the stakeholders and manage their expectations and requirements.
- Identify key operational issues for stakeholders and partner with them in developing and implementing a strategic solution.
- Provide technical and commercial inputs to the RFP document to ensure completeness, compliance with procurement policies and add value to Company's interest.
- Execute and deliver on the sustainability goals for the trade/projects.
- Staying abreast of market trends/conditions and procurement industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal and finance team to draft, finalise and negotiate contracts with added value from commercial standpoint.
- Proactively identify supplier risks and execute mitigation strategies.
- Extensive commercial sourcing and procurement experience, ideally within facilities management or construction industry.
- Proven capability of effective negotiation to drive procurement strategy.
- Financially and commercially astute, with experience of making tough decisions and excellent stakeholder management
- Proven track record in effective leadership
- Sound technical knowledge in A&A and equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Minimum Degree holder in Quantity Surveyor or Facilities Management or M&E engineering with at least 15 years working experience is preferred.
- Resourceful individual, well organized, results/time orientated, strong attention for detail and excellent prioritization skills.
- Possess a positive work attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with procurement management software as the super user.
- Ability to work well autonomously or within a team in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
