
Technical Specialist - Bakery

- Conduct product development of customized enzyme-based bread improvers, bakery premixes and ingredients for industrial bakeries.
- Follow-up and delivery/presentation of results to clients and/or distributors.
- Proactively evaluating global portfolio products and adaptation for suitability in the Asia-Pacific market.
- Perform constant market observation and research.
- Proactive approach to new concepts and solutions, especially in the baking industry.
- Provide on-site technical support to customers, as well as distributors, if needed.
- Promotion and practical demonstration of the company's product ranges by means of baking trials and other suitable forms of evaluation.
- Provide technical presentations and training courses for customers and distributors, if needed.
- Addressing any technical claims and complaints when required.
- Evaluate raw materials.
- Continuous study of relevant technical publications, input info the technical database.
- Degree in food science/technology.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in R&D roles from an Industrial Bakery or bread improver company, or Flour Mill.
- Hands-on baking skills are a must.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Interested in and able to get involved in hands-on product trials (production/lab trials for product demonstration).
- Proficiency with standard software tools such as MS Office
- Willing to travel when required about 30-50%.
- Responsible and self-motivated, hence able to work under minimal supervision.
