The Division of Human Resources & Organisation Development (HR&OD) is seeking a highly driven individual, preferably with a passion for the arts and arts education to join us as Senior Manager/Assistant Director in managing HR corporate services, staff benefits and welfare programmes/initiatives and industrial relations.Reporting to the Senior Director & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the role manages HR corporate services via the Human Resources Management System, working with other HR team leads and members in the Division to achieve synergy and efficiency.You will also manages and administers staff benefits and welfare programmes and activities, including conducting periodic reviews of staff benefits, policies, programmes and welfare activities to enhance employee well-being and engagement as well as support the CHRO in employee relation matters to ensure smooth industrial relations, contribute to collective agreement negotiations and handle staff grievances.This role is employed directly by the University of the Arts Singapore Limited (UAS Ltd) and will predominantly work towards ensuring the smooth operations of LASALLE College of the Arts as well as support the HR corporate services, benefits and welfare programmes and assist in industrial relations of UAS as required.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an established university in human resources, business management or a relevant professional human resources or organisation development qualifications.
  • A postgraduate degree will be advantageous. IHRP Certification Preferred.
  • At least 15 years or equivalent of experience in industrial relations, staff benefits and welfare at tertiary level, of which at least five years and above or equivalent should be in a managerial role, preferably with a tertiary academic institution or an established organisation or public sector agencies.
  • Sound knowledge of job grading, job evaluation and job analysis, compensation as well as local employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in planning, organising and coordinating HR projects including HRM systems.
  • Meticulous and good with figures, and experience in rewards and payroll an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills, with the ability to manage and interact at all levels and work effectively at both strategic and operational level.
  • Good initiative, presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in handling confidential matters.
  • Agile and comfortable with digitalisation and working with systems.
