What the role is:The candidate will be required to sense-make and identify emerging issues and opportunities as part of pre-emptive and proactive comms.What you will be working on:To do so, the candidate will need to be data- and citizen-centric, leverage different communication platforms and experiment with new and emerging communications trends to achieve impactful and integrated outcomes. The candidate will also manage the Department's corporate communication function, including marketing and branding, mainstream media and social media engagements and support the Director in stakeholder engagements as well as any other projects and duties as assigned.What we are looking for:
  • At least 5 years of work experience preferably in areas from strategic comms planning, crisis communications, media relations to stakeholder engagements, with demonstrated ability in developing, implementing, and reviewing comms plans • Intermediate to advanced data-analysis and digital communication skills • A strong team player with great interpersonal, writing and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to work across teams and with diverse stakeholders including vendors • Good knowledge of local and foreign media • Keen interest in current affairs, emerging trends and issues especially those relating to Malay/Muslim matters in the context of Singapore's multi-racial and multi religious society which requires both English and Malay speaking and writing proficiency • Willing to work irregular hours including, on weekends and public holidays • Able to work well under pressure Please note that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
