Project Manager (Chemical)

• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and engineering design by regular site checks and supervising field works Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions
• Developing project plans, defining objectives, timelines, and resource requirements
• Leading interdisciplinary teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective communication among team members
• Estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle
• Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Interfacing with clients or stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, and addressing any concerns or issues raised
• Allocating resources such as equipment, materials, and personnel effectively to meet project goals and deadlines
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry regulations
• Addressing challenges and obstacles that arise during the project lifecycle, employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to find solutions
• Maintaining project documentation, preparing reports, and documenting key milestones, outcomes, and lessons learned for future reference

• Diploma/degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline
• Minimum 8 years of diverse experience within chemical, petrochemical or LNG industries
• Hands-on experience with site work and a strong understanding of the permitting process and local codes, regulations, and standards
• Familiarity with international codes of practices such as API, IEC, and NFPA
• Proficiency in design and build projects with the flexibility to work and relocate overseas if necessary
• Strong project cost control management skills and a proven track record of successful project leadership
• Highly motivated and independent, capable of working under pressure and integrating well within team environments
• Excellent client and people management skills, facilitating effective communication with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities
• Ability to multitask and thrive under tight deadlines, with proficiency in reading PFDs and P&IDs
• Proficient in report writing to effectively document project progress and outcomes
