We are seeking a highly driven and commercial Magnesium Trader to join our clients growing non-ferrous metals team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and expanding our physical and derivatives magnesium trading portfolio globally, with a focus on origination, relationship management, and end-to-end trade execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead physical trading of Magnesium across key regions (Asia, Europe, MENA, Americas), managing both procurement and sales functions.Develop and manage a profitable book through strong market analysis, strategic sourcing, and customer relationship building.Identify and develop new supply sources and end-user customers (e.g., alloy producers, automotive, aerospace).Negotiate and execute contracts, ensuring optimal commercial terms and operational feasibility.Work closely with logistics, legal, risk, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution, compliance, and accurate P&L tracking.Monitor market trends, price movements, trade flows, and competitor activity to identify arbitrage and margin opportunities.Represent the firm at industry events and build a robust network of counterparties, producers, and consumers.Contribute to the firm's broader metals strategy, supporting cross-commodity and supply chain synergies.
