Job Description:POSITION SUMMARYAs a Sales Engineer at Vertiv Japan, you will play a critical role in bridging technical solutions with customer needs. You will be responsible for managing and interpreting customer requirements, proposing tailored solutions, and delivering compelling presentations and quotations to drive successful sales outcomes. This role demands close collaboration with internal sales, project, and service teams, as well as external partners, to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. This position is instrumental in achieving Vertiv's growth objectives in the Japanese market.RESPONSIBILITIESManage, interpret customer requirements and persuade proposed solution, product or service that best satisfy their needsPrepare and perform presentation and customer quotations, negotiate tender and contract terms to close salesProvide pre-sales basic technical assistance and intermediate product educationAnalyze costs and sales performance to meet sales targets and prepare management reportsCoordinate with other staff in sales and projects & services staffs across functionsSupport marketing activities; conferences and other marketing eventsBe accountable for the achievement of sales target assignedEnable the partner organization to be prepared for quoting and winning business through appropriate training, certification, demonstrations and related programsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or in a pre-sales role, preferably within the Mechanical & Electrical contractor industry or a related sectorStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and DC power systemsFamiliarity with mission-critical infrastructure, especially for data centersProficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsEffective communication skills in both Japanese and EnglishThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
