Job Description:Position DescriptionThe Fuel Market Analyst will be part of the fundamentals team within JERAGM focussing on LNG and coal. The individual will play a key part in the analysis supporting JERAGM's LNG, Coal and Japanese Power trading businesses.The role of the analyst will be to update our models and by doing so gain market views. Strong coding experience is required as we want to move away from Excel based models to Python models for further modelling insides.The analyst will coordinate closely with other team members in Singapore and London in a collaborative and open manner. Assisting with providing the right input for others to make reports for senior management. Draft weekly and monthly reports based upon the updating of the models - with the lessons learned from the market.Key Role Responsibilities

Running tools and models and enhancing them further to support our insights.
Work closely with traders and other analysts by sharing the sensitivity and lessons learned of what the models show and understanding the limitation of modelling. Communicating the impact of our analysis.
Share insights on wider gas and relevant commodity markets. Understanding their impacts on our views and positions.
Scraping data and data-warehouse buildout so that a more systematic approach of modelling is possible - especially considering probabilistic and multivariable regression models.
Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications:Key Qualifications and Experience

Masters's degree in a highly numerate subject. Preferably Econometrics or Data Science related
Econometrics, PowerBi, Python and (spreadsheet) modelling experience is required
No experience required but it will be an advantage to have commodity market exposure like coal and/or gas
Up to 3 years' experience in a similar role is an advantage
Good understanding in logistical optimisation
Commercial thinking and ability to see opportunities in data and trends.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure projects and implementation. Keen to develop view on commodity markets and its effect on the markets/prices.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
