
International Service Engineer - Water, Wind & Fuel

- Perform planned service, commissioning, and troubleshooting for Alfa Laval systems on board vessels, including Ballast Water Treatment (PureBallast), High-Speed Separators (HSS), Fuel Conditioning Modules (FCM), Freshwater Generators (FWG), and other equipment.
- Prepare for service jobs by following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient execution.
- Travel domestically and internationally to service jobs on board vessels, with the potential to sail with the vessel if required.
- Execute maintenance, repair, advanced troubleshooting, commissioning or other related services onboard.
- Communicate effectively with customers in English to ensure clear understanding and satisfaction.
- Document all work performed, and conclusions drawn while on board, and ensure that service reports are signed by the customer.
- Identify potential improvements, including sales leads, and provide advice to customers, passing relevant information to the organization.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide formal training to peers and customers, assist in developing of training material and content.
- Proactively seek central support through ServiceNow or direct networking contacts and share findings with the team to keep colleagues informed.
- Be available to respond to emergency service requests, providing timely technical support to minimize vessel downtime.
- Be solution driven and focus on achieving results and ensure that key objectives are met.

- High school diploma or higher, bachelor’s degree or similar in Marine Engineering a plus.
- 5+ years field service experience on board vessels familiarity with industry regulations and standards, as well as marine mechanical and electrical systems.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Good cross-cultural communication skills.
- Experience from working in an international context and across borders with colleagues and customers from other cultures.
- Good reporting skills. (using MS Word and Excel)
- Experience of working in CRM systems and planning tools.
- Understanding of marine separators, ballast treatment systems with electrical, mechanical and automation knowledge.
