- Develop overall architectures to support IT strategy
- Develop roadmaps to transition from current state to future state architecture
- Provide high-level directions that enable mission critical systems to operate safely as well as provide flexibility and speed for innovation
- Gain support from management and stakeholders and communicate these architectures to the organisation at multiple levels to bring about alignment
- Optimise the portfolio of systems and programmes to evaluate their relevance to the architecture roadmap
- Guide the transition of practices and processes to enable delivery of appropriate solutions
- Provide guidance to programmes in the portfolio to ensure that the architecture is realised
- Influence business stakeholders to align priorities, resources, and budgets to realise the architecture roadmap
- Build strong partnerships with business and IT stakeholders to co-create and co-own the architecture goals
- Optimise the architecture governance framework
- Develop forward-looking policies, standards and guidelines that continue to be relevant for cloud native technologies, artificial intelligence, IOT and stringent security requirements
- Support solution and architecture review forums
- Provide department management, including budgeting, funding, demand management and staffing
- Develop team members through ongoing coaching, mentoring, career discussion and assignments to stretch their capabilities. Continually re-examine baseline training and onboarding requirements
- Define common goals, direction, and accountability among staff. Drive effective performance management practices
- At least 7 years of experience as an architect. At least 15 years' experience in implementing or maintaining IT systems
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, although consideration will be given to experience and certifications in lieu of degree
- Demonstrable working knowledge of web, mobile and/or cloud technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
