For Sustainability Report 2025, please visit .IntroductionTemasek's Cybersecurity department is looking to hire full-time interns to support various cybersecurity initiatives across different teams. This internship will give you an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in planning and executing cybersecurity projects while developing valuable technical and business skills in a global investment company.The department comprises of 5 key pillars: (1) Defence and Resilience, (2) Governance and Oversight, (3) Security Operations, (4) Centre of Excellence and (5) Security Architecture and Engineering. Specific domain requirements are listed below, but interns would have the opportunity for cross-functional learning and experience.Responsibilities1. Defence and Resilience
- Drive security awareness through innovative and engaging methods, creating a culture where cybersecurity becomes second nature
- Develop compelling technical content for diverse audiences
- Design interactive training programs that transform complex security concepts into actionable behaviours
- Facilitate realistic tabletop exercises that prepare operational and management teams for real-world threats
- Support existing awareness initiatives, identify and drive areas for improvement
- Perform Governance, Risk and Compliance related duties as assigned
- Provide support to GRC related reviews and processes
- Follow up with IT partners/vendors on audit/assurance findings
- Perform ongoing monitoring on security operations hygiene, controls compliance by leveraging variety of management tools and techniques to detect operational irregularities and lapses.
- Support development, maintenance and streamline documentation of operational SOPs, playbooks, configuration baselines, operational reports to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt and efficient incident response and support containment activities.
- Drive and improve security governance to identify operational gaps and risk across the security solution stack.
- Provide project management support in ongoing initiatives
- Support CCoE pillar responsibilities across key areas: Change management, programme governance, management reporting
- Support Temasek Portfolio Company (TPC) engagements
- Own and execute internal firm cyber engagement events and communications
- Implement change management initiatives
- Front external communications with TPCs product vendors
- Assist in staffing the CISO for executive engagements
- Support security technology evaluations and proof-of-concept
- Research emerging security threats and technologies
- Assist in creating technical security documentation, diagrams and presentations
- Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks, preferably from Jan 2026 onwards, and will still be enrolled with a recognised university by the end of the internship.

- University undergraduates pursuing any of these majors/degrees: Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, IT Management.
- We also welcome applicants from other disciplines with demonstrated interest in cybersecurity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior internship experience(s) with demonstrated capabilities in cybersecurity, IT security or related fields will be considered a strong plus.
- Adaptive in fast paced environment and able to multi-task and handle complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Actively listen to instructions and demonstrate an understanding of assignment expectations (deadlines and deliverables).
- Demonstrate critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and an eagerness to learn.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to identify, manage, and resolve issues.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Able to work long hours and meet tight deadlines.
- Possess integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive information.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
