As a Trade Manager, you will play a key role in driving pricing strategy and managing P&L performance. Your responsibilities include conducting market supply demand analysis, reporting on agency performance, and overseeing account management activities. You will also be responsible for resolving issues related to equipment, space, and operational matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Business Development team on vessel deployment planning and cost control initiatives.To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. The ability to engage effectively across all levels, coupled with strong stakeholder management, negotiation abilities, and sound decision-making skills, will be crucial to your success.Key Responsibilities:
- Define pricing strategy and policy in collaboration with the China network, managing space allocation and utilisation alongside the Cargo Flow team
- Gather and analyse market information and trends to support informed pricing decisions and strategic planning
- Monitor vessel loading performance to ensure optimal utilisation and efficiency, aiming for vessels to sail at 100% capacity in TEUs weekly
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on yield management to maximize contribution margin and achieve optimal P&L results
- Review contribution and cargo mix in alignment with business objectives and revenue optimisation strategies
- Support the implementation of trade strategies to drive profitability and market growth
- Contribute to vessel deployment planning and cost control initiatives
- Deliver P&L performance that exceeds budget targets through strategic oversight and proactive management
- Enhance trade revenue per vessel by identifying and executing targeted initiatives
- Monitor and analyse agents' weekly vessel forecasts, profiles, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with targets
- Track weekly destination performance against budget, communicating action plans aligned with Line direction
- Follow up promptly with agents on weekly performance, defining and implementing effective action plans to achieve targets
- Manage and support China networks to optimize performance and achieve commercial targets
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with assigned IFF customers, monitoring performance against targets
- Deliver results that meet or exceed targets while adhering to rate policies
- Bachelor's degree in business or Maritime Studies
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in yield/trade management
- Strong stakeholder management with advanced negotiation, decision-making
