In lieu of a recently awarded project, we are currently looking for an OT cyber security consultant. This role is a permanent hire.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The OT Cyber Security Consultant plays a crucial role in protecting the essential infrastructure within the built environment, ensuring the integrity and safety of key systems such as transport networks, water and sewage services, energy grids, and communication systems. In this vital position, you will provide specialized advice to enhance the protection and resilience of digital systems, infrastructure, and information.Opportunity Highlights:
- Engage with clients to pinpoint and evaluate their cyber vulnerabilities, craft tailored security designs, provide estimates for cyber security projects, and support in crafting proposals.
- Perform detailed risk evaluations to spot potential cyber threats and weak points within the built environment.
- Formulate and enact robust cyber security measures and policies that adhere to the highest industry standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Assess security architecture for projects within the built environment, suggest suitable safeguards, and conduct security examinations, including penetration tests and vulnerability checks.
- Design cyber security infrastructures, assess plans for business continuity and disaster recovery, and bolster the capability to tackle and rebound from cyber security breaches.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Cyber security domain.
- Familiarity with important regulations and standards, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and IEC 62443.
- Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, best practices, and new trends in the built environment sector.
- Experience with industrial control systems and operational technology (ICS/OT) in the built environment, including relevant industry practices and technologies.
- Capable of implementing secure networks, systems, and infrastructure.
- Proficient in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint security, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
- Preferred qualifications include cyber security certifications like CISSP, CISM, and CCSP.
