Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeOverseeing and driving the regional portfolio for marine claims (hull & machinery, cargo, FFL). Providing delivery of claims services, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases. Monitoring and maintaining claims team KPIs in the region. Providing technical input and support on complex claims, throughout the region. Having direct reports inwards - people management. Develop the technical expertise of our teams through structured training and development. Ensuring customer satisfaction and equitable solution to claims in accordance with company guidelines. To be accountable for the region's marine claims performance and to report into the Regional Specialty Claims Head, Asia.The OpportunityOversee and drive claims performance throughout the regionSupport the implementation of claims management strategies and objectives for the region / branchMaintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modificationsContribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve Claims systems and proceduresApprove claims within appropriate authority levelsThe OpportunityMaintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and the general publicRespond to client requests in accordance with service standardsProvide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors to enable appropriate actions to be carried outEnsure recoverable amounts are assessed and effectively followed up and approving significant claims within written authority levelsEnsure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions by providing technical expertise and leadershipMay supervise the investigation and settlement of all claims within the teamManage and supervise Claims staffAbout YouCustomer serviceOrganizational and communication skillsAnalytical and negotiation skillsBasic English Communication SkillsStrong knowledge of insurance industry and claims processesAbout QBEWhat if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world?At QBE, we’re enabling a more resilient future – for our customers, communities, environment, and for our people.
