We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.AMD together we advance_THE ROLE:AMD is looking for a results-oriented Senior Product Development Engineer to join our team, specializing in FPGA, hardware programmable SoCs and the ACAP (Adaptive Compute Acceleration Platform), designed to deliver the most dynamic processor technology in the industry and enable the adaptable, intelligent and connected world of the future in a multitude of markets including Data Center (Compute, Storage and Networking), Wireless/5G and Wired Communications, Automotive/ADAS, Emulation & Prototyping, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Scientific & Medical, and others. This individual will be responsible in driving product KPIs and executing New Product Development, Advance Automotive Qualifications and Production ramp milestones. A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute new product evaluation and debug to enable the fastest time to production for new products.
  • Early engagement for product functionality and performance window and implement proper screening in NPI and Production test.
  • Drive highest level of product quality target to meet specific needs for Automotive market segments
  • Analytic ability to address technical issues for product related issues to identify root cause and provide corrective actions.
  • Implement new business opportunities for out-of-spec customer requirements through Structured Change Development.
  • Collaborate with cross function teams including product test, pattern development and IC design to debug any product failures and come up with optimal solutions
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators such as Cost reductions, Yield and Quality improvement across products
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years of experience in the computing industry with solid understanding of FPGA products, design and applications and strong experience in silicon test methodologies and implementation
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams across various geographies to debug silicon and customer issues and drive resolution.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technical concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple internal functional organizations.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results.
  • Experience in silicon test methodologies and implementation is a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelors or Master’s in computer engineering or electronic engineering or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
