Singapore Test Hardware Infrastructure Engineering team provides Wafer Sort, Final Test and System Level Test HW design/development, validation, implementation/fan-out, debug & sustaining support.THE PERSON:Product Development Engineer position is accountable for defining, designing, developing, validating and deploying Sort Test hardware infrastructure solutions used for functional testing of AMD's microprocessor and graphics products.As a Product Development Engineer, you are also required to communicate optimally and work in close collaboration with others in AMD as well as with AMD’s customers/suppliers to ensure optimal engineering design decisions and efficient problem solving.. You must be able to work under tight project timeline and discipline in task execution, demonstrate strong work commitment, embrace diversity and resilient in problem solvingKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with various subject matter experts and silicon leads to develop Sort test hardware infrastructure solution
  • Define Sort hardware and Test equipment hardware design requirements to develop strategic solutions for future needs or to improve the reliability of existing solutions.
  • Develop or work with external vendors to conceptualize hardware design and setting specifications
  • Develop and execute test plans for hardware and thermal technologies/ management.
  • Work closely with supply chain to monitor Sort hardware / equipment availability and MTDBF.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Knowledge in Sort Hardware and Test equipment development for microprocessor testing.
  • Strong background in heat transfer fundamentals (conduction, convection, radiation).
  • Knowledge of thermal control techniques, and experience with testing equipment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to create and discuss technical documentation and presentations.
  • Problem-solver with a knack for understanding test requirement
  • Exposure to the latest technology in Sort hardware.
  • Knowledge in product test equipments (ATE). E.g 93K,probers
  • Statistical analysis capability such as JMP, Power BI.
  • Programming skills such as Python, SQL
  • 3-4 (maximum) years of engineering experience in Seminconductor Industry.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Degree in BEng in Mechanical or Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
