We are building a world-class team of problem-solvers, all dedicated to delivering exceptional storytelling to our Customers.Role OverviewAs the Senior Manager of Frontend Engineering for Consumer Experience, you will lead a cross-functional team of frontend engineers across Web, SmartTV, Android and iOS platforms, driving Coupang Play's user-facing experiences.You will collaborate closely with other engineering groups, Product Management, Design, and Business Development teams to deliver innovative features that delight users and drive business growth.What You Will Do
  • Lead with vision: Provide technical and strategic leadership across multiple CX engineering teams, ensuring design decisions are well-informed and aligned with both tactical execution and long-term product goals.
  • Innovate in user experience and engagement: Drive the development of personalized content discovery, immersive sports viewing, and community-driven features that enhance user engagement and growth.
  • Deliver high-impact features: Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to build and launch high-quality, user-facing features across Web, SmartTV, iOS, and Android platforms, and manage key feature releases.
  • Grow and empower global teams: Build and lead CX engineering teams across our offices in Seoul and Singapore, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in engineering management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance engineering organizations.
  • Strong ability to drive engineering discipline, define technical roadmaps, promote engineering excellence, and ensure execution aligns with product goals.
  • Able to clarify ambiguous feature requirements into clear, actionable engineering tasks, identify technical complexities and dependencies across teams, and lead the design, implementation, and QA processes to deliver high-quality features to users.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, user-facing features. Actively incorporates user feedback (VOC) to continuously improve the product experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment developing large-scale, consumer-facing products.
  • Experience delivering technical innovations for OTT services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
