We are seeking a senior renewable energy professional to join as Head of Development, Southeast Asia (SEA), based in Singapore. This newly created role will be responsible for leading the regional project development strategy, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and overseeing the delivery of renewable energy projects across multiple Southeast Asian markets.The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in project development, deep understanding of the Singapore electricity market, and proven experience in negotiating PPAs. This is a rare opportunity to shape the growth of one of the industry’s leading renewable platforms in a fast-growing region.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight to the project development team across Southeast Asia, with a focus on Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.Drive power purchase agreement (PPA) negotiations in Singapore, ensuring projects are structured for long-term commercial success.Develop and execute regional growth strategies, reporting directly to senior leadership.Identify, engage, and manage local and international partners, including utilities, regulators, and financial institutions.Oversee due diligence activities including land and site assessments, interconnection studies, and feasibility analyses.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest commercial and technical standards.Represent the company with government authorities, regulators, and key market stakeholders, influencing decision-making and securing new opportunities.Act as an ambassador at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen market presence and unlock business opportunities.Build and maintain strong networks across the renewables ecosystem in Southeast Asia, leveraging relationships to advance the company’s pipeline.Candidate RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Law, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development including PV solar, with at least 7-8 years in Southeast Asia.Proven expertise in the Singapore electricity market, including direct experience with PPA negotiations.Established network of contacts across utilities, regulators, developers, and other key stakeholders in Southeast Asia.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and secure bankable projects.Track record of successfully leading teams and managing multi-country project portfolios.Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach.Fluent in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia or other Southeast Asian languages would be advantageous.Willingness to travel extensively across the region.Location
