Manager / Senior Manager, Legal Counsel

• Provide comprehensive and sound legal advice in all matters affecting the organization and its subsidiaries
• Handle a wide range of commercial/corporate work including drafting and reviewing legal documents, commercial contracts, insurance policies, reinsurance contracts
• Advise on regulatory requirements under relevant statutes (eg Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act, Securities & Futures Act and Take Over Code as Income is a public company ), and MAS Notices and Guidelines, Data Protection matters
• Assist to handle and advise on insurance and other litigious claims
• Maintaining and coordinating contract administration
• Instruct and liaise with panel lawyers on referred matters and ensure that they provide the required service standards and monitor costs
• Perform other related legal duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor or Head of Section

• Recognised legal qualifications in Singapore or abroad and admitted to practice either in the Singapore or abroad with 10 years PQE in practice or in-house experience
• Experience in handling insurance, corporate and commercial laws matters
• Experience in handling agency and distribution work, fund offering / subscription agreements, JVs will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills to identify complex issues quickly and provide strategic solutions
• Articulate with good interpersonal skills to engage multiple stakeholders effectively and work well independently as well as in a team
• Sound understanding of insurance, corporate and/or funds related work
• Meticulous with the ability to take ownership and meet deadlines
