Our client is a leading global maritime business serving a good global client base is looking for a Senior Regional Legal Counsel and will be part of the legal team based in Singapore. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities critical to the company's operations such as handling and advising on charterparty disputes, including, but not limited to, demurrage and laytime disputes and provision of real-time advice in the context of all of the company's chartering operations, including time charter employment. Your role will also handle compliance, insurance placements, and renewals.Requirements:
- Top academic credentials (England & Wales trained and qualified solicitor) with at least 6-10 years of post-qualification experience at a “top tier” law firm /multinational environment
- Sound Shipping Litigation Knowledge with experience predominantly gained InHouse in dry bulk marine transportation
- Team player with superior communication, interpersonal, and language skills
- Experience handling charter party disputes and other dry marine issues
- Detail-oriented, motivated individual with excellent analytical and project management skills
