
Training Executive (Technical)

- Design, delivers and evaluates technical training programs related to production skills-related topics for the workforce.
- Ensures that all training content aligns with organizational standards, safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Conducts classroom, workshop and on-site instruction using a variety of training methods including demonstrations, hands-on practice and visual aids.
- Prepares lesson plans, training materials, practical assignments, and assessment tools in accordance with training objectives.
- Collaborates with operations and production teams to identify skills gaps, adapt training to match project requirements and align with job-site practices.
- Assesses trainees’ progress through practical tests, quizzes, and skills assessments.
- Maintains accurate training records and feedbacks for evaluation and improvement.
- Participates in reviews of training effectiveness and recommends improvements to curriculum, delivery methods, or equipment.
- Diploma or Higher Nitec in Marine & Offshore-related engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in production work in shipbuilding, ship repair or offshore fabrication.
- Certified Workplace Trainer & Assessor (e.g., ACTA/ACLP credentials) is preferred.
- Good knowledge on safety requirements and standards for various works carried out in the yard.
- Familiarity with classification rules and standards and quality procedures.
- Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to explain concepts clearly to adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Competent in both theoretical and practical instruction.
- Able to assess learning and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
