As a GTS Employee Infrastructure Services Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience building critical automation and data visualization solutions that directly impact our operational efficiency and service delivery. You'll excel at developing and maintaining dashboards, scripting automated processes, and identifying opportunities to streamline workflows. A willingness to learn new technologies and a collaborative spirit will be key to your success.What you doYour responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards to provide insights into key areas like Risk, Finance, Service, and People within GTS Infrastructure Services, ultimately creating a centralized “OneStop Dashboard.”
  • Automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources, including SharePoint and internal databases.
  • Designing and developing automated scripts using Python and PowerShell to process logs, generate alerts for anomalies, and monitor system health.
  • Implementing automated monitoring solutions for job status, printer status, bot health, ticketing systems (HPSM), and Microsoft 365 service health.
  • Creating scripts to scrape and extract data from PDFs to automate the comparison of vendor quotations against signed contracts, supporting billing accuracy.
  • Assisting in developing dashboards and automation scripts for monitoring VVIP and Guest Wi-Fi performance.
Who you work withYou’ll be joining the GTS Employee Infrastructure Services team – a dedicated group responsible for providing a reliable and secure technology environment for all OCBC employees. You’ll collaborate with infrastructure engineers, support specialists, and project managers, gaining valuable exposure to a wide range of technologies and processes.Who you are
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Possesses a strong foundation in IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Jira Software.
  • Familiar with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL).
  • Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Learning ObjectivesThis internship will provide you with:
  • Practical experience in developing and maintaining data visualization dashboards using Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with automation scripting using Python and PowerShell.
  • Insights into enterprise IT infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.
