UWCSEA Dover is looking for a Relief Technician to start as soon as possible.The primary purpose and function of this role is to provide technical and design support to events, with a specific focus on sound and projection design. These events include Drama productions, Primary Arts Festivals, GC and other events as determined by the Head of Drama.Main Responsibilities

Operate lighting and sound equipment during rehearsal and performances.
Execute cues accurately and promptly as required.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless transition during shows.
Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of technical equipment,
Assist with stage changes and stage management as needed.
Maintain and manage the College’s theatre resources, equipment and inventory, including maintenance of stores

Person Specifications

Experience in theatre production with a strong understanding of running of stage cues.
Proficient in operating lighting and sound systems would be a bonus, training will be provided.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work with appropriate document and spreadsheet software to effectively coordinate and plan is essential
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience working with young people is a distinct advantage
Enthusiasm for working with young people is essential
