- Responsible for the installation of new equipment, and planning and carrying out maintenance program for the manufacturing facilities to meet safety and service reliability.
- Inspects, tests, adjusts and repairs all physical plant machinery, heating, cooling, piping, and electrical systems, and records maintenance in accordance to schedules.
- Responsible for maintenance of manufacturing equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the factory personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform their functions.
- Carry out calibration of load cells and portable scales in the plant every 6 monthly and according to schedule.
- Ensures the smooth operations of Deionized Water Plant.
- Inspects, tests, cleans, and repair fired equipment, alarms, switches, and sensors.
- Responsible for the facilitation of equipment/process improvement projects.
- Performs machine enhancement and modifications, as necessary.
- Provides technical support to production.
- Identification of any potential plant problems or deficiencies, and make suggestion for short-term and long-term corrective measures for each situation according to priority, constraints and seriousness so as to ensure minimal disruption to production plans.
- Perform operational troubleshooting activities to ensure any deviations are managed promptly, effectively and safely.
- Coordinate with contractors on repair and maintenance work in the plant.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Relevant industrial experience of about 2 to 5 years preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of working in an operations / supply-chain organization, along with effective engagement with cross-functional teams.
- Manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
- Maintain tight timelines while meeting targeted savings outcomes.
- Experience with total cost of ownership reduction and process improvement.
- Ability to work with mechanical and electrical systems or production equipments
- Possess or have knowledge in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Hands-on ability in carrying out maintenance or troubleshooting for machinery.
- Strong leadership, program / process management, analytical, & communication skills.
