
Senior Legal Counsel

- Provide accurate, prompt and robust legal advice to the Enterprise business units, including overseas business units.
- Provide legal support for Corporate Functions (HR, Sustainability, Credit Management, Risk, Tax, IA, Corp Comms, etc).
- Be the point person to provide legal support on AI projects for Consumer, Singtel Singapore.
- Draft, review, amend and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, with a particular focus on sales and procurement contracts in the telco/connectivity/cybersecurity/tech space.
- Provide legal education and training to the business units and other stakeholders.
- Manage/train/guide legal contract managers reporting to this role.
- Work collaboratively with other stakeholders within Singtel to ensure internal policy and corporate governance is adhered to.
- Possess excellent client relationship skills with keen interest in learning and understanding the business, its drivers and the operations.
- Being a proactive team player, and willingness to explore and learn new skillsets. Actively participate and take ownership of projects as and when required. Being able to manage concurrent timelines and stakeholders' expectations.
- Prior experience and an interest in legal technology and tools will be a plus
- Law degree (Singapore or other recognized law school)
- 8 to 10 years (at least 4-5 years in private practice)
- Excellent familiarity with all matters of contract law
- Sound knowledge of employment laws, data privacy laws
- Experience in legal review, negotiation, and amendment of contacts
- Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for laymen stakeholders
- Ability to work well with the legal team members and with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to manage concurrent deadlines
- Have good time management and ability to prioritise deliverables
