We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager, Sales Support (Governmental Accounts – APAC) to join our Customer Account Management team at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, based in Tukang, Singapore. This role will focus on supporting the sales and customer engagement activities for our governmental customers across the Asia-Pacific region, providing critical coordination in the preparation of proposals, tender documentation, contract administration, and internal stakeholder alignment.You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all commercial and operational support processes run smoothly, in compliance with both customer expectations and internal governance. The position requires strong organizational skills, a customer-first mindset, and familiarity with managing documentation and tender requirements for government-related projects.Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. - Support the Sales and Customer Account Management team in all sales operations and back-office tasks for governmental and defense-related projects in Asia-Pacific.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of quotations, proposals, and supporting documentation to governmental clients in accordance with applicable regulations and internal guidelines.
- Provide tender support by consolidating internal inputs from Engineering, Legal, Finance, Export Control, and Operations teams.
- Track tender timelines, submission deadlines, and customer follow-ups to ensure full compliance and responsiveness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales offers, contracts, and customer interactions in internal systems such as SAP and the Customer Relationship Management platform.
- Assist in the end-to-end sales process from enquiry to order closure, including document formatting, approvals, internal submission routing, and archiving.
- Support customer engagement through timely delivery of documents, updates, and clarifications, including coordination of response letters, templates, and supporting evidence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments on sales documentation and operational execution matters.
- Ensure documentation and contract terms are consistent with business objectives, risk policies, and customer expectations.
- Support the preparation of internal reports, sales forecasts, and management presentations.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal tools, processes, and workflows related to governmental sales support.
- A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales operations, customer account management, or contract administration.
- Prior experience supporting sales to government or defense clients, including experience with tender processes, will be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a matrix and multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); experience using SAP and CRM systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables under time pressure.
- A customer service mindset with an understanding of sales cycles and post-contract processes.
- Knowledge of export control, compliance, and commercial documentation requirements for international business is a plus.
