The ideal candidate will possess leadership capabilities leadership capabilities with hands-on technical proficiency in both Windows and Linux systems is essential for this role.You will be responsible to:Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers while maintaining hands-on technical expertise in Windows and AWSDrive automation initiatives and implement infrastructure as code practices to enhance operational efficiency and service deliveryOversee critical incident management and problem resolution processes, ensuring minimal disruption to business services and supporting Critical Information Infrastructure (CIIs) that are owned by the MASDevelop and implement best practices for cloud reliability, scalability, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and applicationsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and servicesDevelop and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and reporting frameworks for infrastructure and servicesConduct regular performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal cloud resource utilisation[What we are looking for]Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fieldStrong knowledge of Windows systems, Active Directory, VMware, VDIProven experience in a lead role within Infrastructure Operations or DevOps teamHands-on experience in infrastructure migration projects from on-premises to cloudFamiliarity with AWS GCC cloud services and exposure to its infrastructure is an added advantageStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisationHands on proficiency in infrastructure and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExperience with VDI performance monitoring, optimisation, and troubleshootingUnderstanding of VDI storage and network requirements for optimal end-user experienceSome AWS Certified such as but not limited to Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certificationKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins or GitLabFamiliarity with Observability monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix and ELK stack or equivalentKnowledge of IT security best practices, regulatory compliance requirements, and cloud migration strategiesAbility to balance tactical operational needs with long-term strategic goals, including performance monitoring and capacity planningAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.This will be a 2-year contract.
