- Provide management oversight and direction to a Buyer.
- Ensure purchasing practices are fully aligned with our company's polices, internal financial controls and compliance requirements.
- Reliably execute Purchase to Pay transaction processes in SAP, managing the purchasing of select categories.
- Score card the Buying team's transactional performance and develop action plans to drive improvement.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technical, Logistics and Business functions to identify and drive improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead the Source to Contract process for all indirect material, packaging and service categories including development of commodity strategies that ensure reliable sources of supply and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate purchase agreement pricing and terms, applying our company's contract templates and risk terms.
- Utilize SAP reporting tools to analyze purchasing data and identify opportunities. Understand the site's spend profile, supplier base, single and sole source risks, and contractual position with key strategic suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with SAP Purchase to Pay and SAP Ariba is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
