In this role, you will provide the overall operational management direction and leadership for the environmental services functions - Housekeeping, Linen Management, Waste Management, Pest Control and Landscape, and support the operational readiness, activation and transition (ORAT) plan of the hospital. You will work with stakeholders to develop operational models in line with the development of hospital services and care model, develop operational workflows and emergency response/security plans, co-develop workflow simulations based on various scenarios to test new models both virtually and on physical prototypes in the EGH Healthcare Living Lab (HLL). You will be required to manage an in-house core team, as well as our outsourced partners / service providers and concurrently develop procurement and resourcing plans to support the environmental services operations, whilst implementing initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of the operations (e.g. adoption of technology or robotics to reduce manual labour and optimise resources, outcomes-based contracting, and sustainable practices).Job requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in management of hospital operations
  • Good knowledge in both front-end and back-end environmental services
  • Team player, highly motivated and action-oriented with excellent planning and analytical skills
  • Able to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and growing organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging conditions
