AltSchool is an early intervention centre in River Valley that blends education and therapy in a warm, play-responsive setting. We work with preschool-aged children (3–8 years old) with developmental delays or neurodivergent profiles, including autism, ADHD, and speech/language challenges.Job DescriptionWe’re on the lookout for interns who are curious, compassionate, and eager to learn. Whether you’re exploring a future in education, psychology, special needs, or early childhood development, you’ll get first-hand experience supporting children’s learning journeys in a deeply respectful, collaborative environment.What you'll be doing:

Supporting teachers and therapists in the classroom and during therapy sessions
Assisting with preparation of learning materials, task boxes, and classroom setup
Participating in group activities, play-based learning, and sensory experiences
•Contributing to a calm, nurturing space that honours each child’s pace and potential

What we're looking for:

Students or recent graduates in Early Childhood, Psychology, Education, Social Work or related fields
A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
Patience, initiative, and openness to feedback
Respect for neurodiversity and child-led learning
Bonus if you’re familiar with Montessori, DIR Floortime, or TEACCH approaches—but not essential
