The Middle Officer will act as a critical link between the front office trading desk and back office operations. You will ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of trade-related documentation, manage risk controls, and support trade confirmations and settlement processes. Your role is essential in minimizing operational risks and ensuring smooth transaction flows in our iron ore physical trading business.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and validate trade capture data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.Monitor and reconcile trade confirmations, contracts, and shipping documents related to iron ore transactions.Liaise with traders, brokers, counterparties, and operations teams to resolve trade discrepancies.Support daily trade lifecycle processes including confirmation, matching, invoicing, and settlement.Assist in the management of credit limits, exposure tracking, and risk monitoring for physical iron ore trades.Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to track cargo movements and delivery schedules.Prepare and maintain trade reports and audit documentation for compliance and risk review.Support month-end and year-end close processes related to trade activities.Collaborate with IT and system teams to enhance trade processing tools and workflows.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls related to physical commodity trading.
