
FPGA & DSP Engineer

- Analyze requirements and define DSP algorithms, optimizing for real-time performance on FPGA hardware for radio communication measurement instruments.
- Design and implement efficient DSP algorithms for FPGA implementation, considering high-speed and RF interface constraints and adhering to hardware schematics and interface protocols.
- Simulate and verify DSP algorithms using software tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- Translate DSP algorithms into VHDL code for FPGA implementation.
- Perform FPGA design synthesis, routing, and timing closure.
- Integrate FPGA designs with software and hardware components, including RF interfaces, and ensure signal integrity.
- Conduct hardware testing and debug FPGA designs, troubleshooting complex hardware and interface issues.
- Document design concepts, algorithms, and test procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, collaborate effectively across functions, and consistently meet deadlines to contribute to successful product development.

- PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Communication, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm design and implementation for high-speed applications.
- Good understanding of communication system theory, including modulation, demodulation, digital down-conversion, wideband processing, coding, and filtering techniques, as well as signal integrity, timing analysis, and power management.
- Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) and FPGA development tools and methodologies.
- Experienced with fixed and floating-point arithmetic for real-time embedded systems.
- Experience with hardware schematic design, interface protocols, and resolving hardware and embedded firmware integration challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to use instruments such as signal generators and oscilloscopes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
