What the role is:As a member of the capability and outreach team in the Charities Unit, you will support initiatives that promote good governance standards in the charity sector and assist in implementing capability building programmes. You will work with the team to support various charity sector development initiatives and funding programmes.What you will be working on:Supporting the secretariat function for the Charity Council, including assisting with the Charity Transparency Framework and Governance Awards initiatives • Helping to implement capability building programmes such as conducting learning sessions and development of guidance materials for charities • Processing and reviewing applications for the Charities Capability Fund and Tech. • Supporting engagement efforts with partners who provide services and training to charities • Assisting in maintaining and updating content for the Charity Council Website and Youtube channel • Supporting the team in communications and stakeholder engagement activitiesWhat we are looking for:Competencies: Industry Network Development: • Support the maintenance of relationships with industry partners • Assist in engaging with stakeholders in the charity sector Programme Implementation: • Support the implementation of programmes • Help track programme progress and outcomes Grant Management: • Process grant applications according to established frameworks • Support the administration and monitoring of grants Other Competencies: • Good project coordination skills • Ability to work effectively in a team • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Good interpersonal skills • Basic analytical skills Other requirements: • Min 2 years of relevant working experience • Interest in the charity sector and its development • Experience in project coordination would be an advantageAbout Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth:We aim to build a cohesive and resilient society, deepening the sense of national identity and affinity for Singapore through strengthening community bonds, promoting of the arts and heritage, youth engagement, sports development, volunteerism and philanthropy.
