- Develop and define a future-proof technology strategy aligned with Prudential's overall business objectives and transformation goals.
- Regularly review and update the technology strategy, adapting to evolving market trends, regulatory changes, and business needs.
- Benchmark Prudential’s technology vs. peers and industry leaders and make recommendations on areas of improvements
- Map the technology roadmap to our ongoing transformation program, ensuring technology initiatives and investments directly support program objectives.
- Lead the strategic alignment of technology operations with the defined strategy, bridging the gap between strategy and execution.
- Prioritize and allocate technology resources effectively, optimizing investment decisions to maximize value and impact.
- Identify and assess emerging technologies and their potential to create competitive advantages within our industry.
- Champion innovation and adoption of new technologies within the Technology team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage a team of high-performing technology strategy professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, including business units, leadership teams, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Communicate the technology strategy effectively to all stakeholders, building understanding and buy-in across the organization.
- Degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related field, with 15+ years of experience in strategic technology leadership within a complex financial services organization.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business transformation and growth.
- Deep understanding of the insurance industry and the evolving technology landscape impacting the sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into effective technology solutions.
- Strategic thinking and vision, with the ability to think long-term and anticipate future trends.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, able to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership and team management expertise, able to inspire and motivate a team of high-performing individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration and trust across the organization.
- Knowledge of the global insurance industry and regulatory landscape related to technology risk is highly desirable.
