That’s why we work tirelessly to make your experience of planning & booking flights, hotels, and trips as seamless as possible.The Role:We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead, Data Analytics to manage our Data Analytics team and oversee Wego’s data initiatives. You will be responsible for guiding a team of analysts, developing data strategies, and ensuring the smooth execution of data projects across the organization. This role will be instrumental in driving Wego’s data culture, fostering best practices, and aligning data activities with business goals.What you will be working on:You will lead and mentor a team of data analysts, develop and execute a data strategy, and oversee the design and maintenance of data infrastructure. Working cross-functionally, you will ensure data insights are integrated into various business strategies, and you will promote a data-driven culture that emphasizes data integrity, governance, and compliance.Core Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, overseeing hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with Wego’s business objectives.
  • Data Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and pipeline reliability.
  • Data Visualization & BI: Utilize Looker and other BI tools to provide business intelligence and support decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product, commercial, finance, and marketing teams to integrate data insights into strategies.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Project Management: Lead data projects, managing timelines and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Culture Building: Promote a data-driven culture within the organization, championing continuous improvement and best practices.
Skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role within data analytics, engineering, or data science.
  • Strong expertise in BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Proven experience managing multifunctional teams and complex data projects.
  • Proficiency with cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, BigQuery) and data pipeline management (e.g., Airflow).
  • Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with Python preferred.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and compliance.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.

  • Expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
