The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.As the Safety and Integrity Southeast Asia Lead, you drive impact within Southeast Asia and across T&S Globally. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of program managers and market analysts who are responsible for enhancing safety on the platform and trust in the platform from a market and region perspective. The team works with market stakeholders to holistically understand the needs of markets. The team simultaneously works cross-functionally across T&S to represent market priorities and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in people management, business management and crossfunctional collaboration, with a focus on building a strong organization, and streamlining cross-functional communication.You will act as a people manager, a consensus creator, and a strategic thought partner for the TikTok Trust & Safety team and the broader stakeholders in the region. You will use your exemplary strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills to prioritize and manage multiple programs in a manner that is both efficient and aligned with the organizational strategy.You will also help maintain clear communications across functional teams including Policy, Product, Risk & Response Operations, Data, Public Policy, Comms, and Legal. If you are passionate about high-level thinking, continuous improvement, program management, and on-the-ground execution, this is the role for you.Responsibilities
- Manage a talented team of Regional Program managers and Market Analysts, define our approach for the Southeast Asia region and contribute to our global approach to issues such as Minor Safety, Hate Speech, Violent Extremism, Bullying and Graphic Content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (content policy, product management, data analytics, operations, engineering, algorithms) to identify, assess and resolve issues and ensure our policies, programs, and systems work together across our many apps to protect consumers and prevent abuse.
- You'll manage the performance and goals of the team, driving the local market roadmaps and taking responsibility for the overall market performance
- You'll provide foresight into various vulnerabilities in scenarios such as video, comments, follow/like, accounts, etc. through qualitative and quantitative approaches
- You will identify and explore ways to continuously improve and provide timely feedback to cross-departmental stakeholders
- You'll lead your team in proactively planning to mitigate risks associated with expected high risk event and in responding to unplanned crises.
- You'll ensure the overall health and performance of your responsible markets through data and key metric monitoring
- You will actively promote and support inclusion, creating a positive team culture, by ensuring individuals are supported to participate and develop within their role and work community
- Address emerging market risks and provide foresight into various vulnerabilities in scenarios such as video, comments, follow/like, accounts, etc. through qualitative and quantitative approaches.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- You will have a deep understanding and experience of the Southeast Asia region, including understanding of top driving risks, cultural nuances, regulatory landscape and high risk events.
- Broad experience across Trust and Safety, or a related area such as Fraud, Integrity, management of social networking, or within a Trust and Safety vertical, such as minor safety, hate speech, illegal activities and regulated goods, etc.
- Experience leading high performing teams including objective setting and performance reviews.
- Extensive background managing and coordinating large scale projects or products. You will be an analytical thinker, with a strong ability to interpret data, key metrics and devise improvement strategies.
- Experienced in building strong and trusted partnerships, with the ability to foster strong connections within and outside of T&S, including working with engineering, legal, public policy or other diverse stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
