Upper-Intermediate EnglishThis module covers four essential skills in language learning: listening, reading, speaking, and writing at the upper-intermediate level. The listening skills include understanding the main ideas and specific factual information, recognising the opinions, attitudes, and purpose of a speaker, and following the development of an argument. The reading skills studied include reading for main ideas, reading for detail, understanding inferences and implied meaning, recognising a writer’s opinions, attitudes, and purpose, and following the development of an argument. Speaking skills relate to the ability to communicate opinions and information on everyday topics, answer a range of questions, and express and justify opinions. The writing skills practised include the ability to write a response which is appropriate in terms of content, the organisation of ideas, and the accuracy and range of vocabulary and grammar.Job requirements
A Bachelor's degree from a reputable university. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
At least 2 years of teaching experience at tertiary level
5 years of relevant working experience would be an advantage
Must be available to teach during day time
