- Partner with higher management to envision an IT infrastructure strategy, architecture design and delivery processes.
- Analyse the short-term and long-term IT infrastructure capacity and performance needs for current and future requirements.
- Provide thought leadership on overall IT infrastructure architecture.
- Establish metrics, key performance indicators, service level agreement and protocols.
- Establish governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines based upon business strategy.
- Assure regulatory and legal compliance of the IT infrastructure design.
- Oversee the overall budgeting, performance and staffing management.
- Develop staff through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions.
- Define common goals, direction and accountability among staff.
- Drive effective performance management practices within the teams in accordance with organisation policies and procedures.
- Build strategic relationships with external partners.
- Lead negotiations with IT providers and vendors.
- Represent the organisation with external partners.
- Responsible for supervising the planning and execution of significant infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion.
- Communicate and update stakeholders on the implementation of campus-wide infrastructure services.
- Identify and recommend new technologies or opportunities that can help the organization save costs, improve security, and enhance the quality of its services.
- Responsible for the management and operation of IT infrastructure services, ensuring that all IT services are highly available and resilient.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering
- ITIL v3 and above certification
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience in IT Infrastructure management and operations with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- At least 5 years project management experience with successful completion of multiple large-scale projects of project value greater than $10M and duration of more than 1 year.
- Practical experience in planning and implementing key ITIL processes
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Visionary, innovative and adaptable
- Good knowledge and excellent understanding of emerging infrastructure technologies such as Cloud architecture, Virtualization, DevOps, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity
- Competent in putting ITIL methodology into practice, especially in IT operations
- Familiar with service improvement methodology such as lean six sigma
