What the role is:As the community leadership development arm of the People's Association (PA), National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI) aims to equip our learners with the relevant skillsets and growth mindset so that they can contribute actively and effectively to the community building and citizen engagement efforts in Singapore. We are currently seeking interns to participate in the PA Structured Internship Programme with NACLI. The internship is a great opportunity for you to appreciate PA's mission of building and bridging communities. At the same time, you will gain industry exposure and practical skills through working on meaningful facilities management-related projects/assignments which are aimed at supporting NACLI's capability building efforts.What you will be working on:The intern will be supporting the Training Operations team in the area of facilities operations & management of the campus, exploring and helping to implement digital technologies in facilities management processes and environmental sustainability, focusing on the following areas: • Support the development of adaptive learning spaces in support of future of learning which include contributing to the planning and execution of innovative learning environments that cater to diverse learning needs and technological advancements. • Research and recommend SMART tech solutions in support of our future learning spaces, involving researching and potential implementation of tech-enabled tools to enhance the learning experience and operational efficiency within our learning spaces. • Assist in day-to-day property & facilities maintenance processes including coordinating works, upkeep of proper records and documentation. • Assist in monitoring and following up with FMC on outstanding repair/maintenance works • Conduct market-sensing and source for suppliers for goods/services required by the Institute in support of training operations • Assist in researching and supporting on green and sustainability initiatives • Assist in overseeing and managing improvement works on our future learning spaces aligning to sustainability Learning objectives include: • Gain hands-on experience in project planning and execution by contributing to the development and implementation of adaptive learning spaces • Utilise research skills to explore and propose innovative and SMART tech solutions to support future learning spaces • Understand how facilities operations and management are applied in a training environment • Understand how FM supports the strategic objectives of an organisation • Gain time management skills through managing project demands, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines • Gain critical thinking skills through analysing situations and creating suitable solutionsWhat we are looking for:Requirements: • Kindly note that the minimal commitment period is 12 weeks/3 months • Background or prior experience in areas of Facilities Management • Basic knowledge in MS Office e.g. Word, Excel • Meticulous • Good in working with and organising data • Possess good written and verbal communication skills Please submit your application via this for https://go.gov.sg/nacli-internship-application-form Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
